ProXeed®
is a patented dietary supplement specifically designed to support
sperm quality, a key factor in the process of conception. Proxeed
contains ingredients that contribute to the metabolic processes in
the cells that manufacture sperm.
Proxeed®
is supplied in
powdered form and can be dissolved in water or other beverages and
should be taken twice daily. Sperm cells need around 2.5 months to
develop into maturity and another 30 days in order to be ready to
actually fertilize a female egg. Consequently Proxeed needs to be
taken for at least 3.5 months, and preferably six months before any
change in sperm quality could be expected.
Each packet contains 1725 mg of
L-carnitine fumarate, 500 mg of Acetyl-L-carnitine, 1000 mg of
fructose and 50 mg of citric acid.
Delayed conception may be caused by
problems in both the male and the female. Male factors are
implicated in some 40% of all conception problems while a
combination of factors of both partners account for an additional
20%. One of the male factors is sub-optimal sperm quality.
The quality of sperm is determined
by 5 factors: 1)motility 2) the rapidity of its straight, forward
movement
3) quantity 4) concentration and 5) morphology
Health Benefits of ProXeed® :
More than 200 published references,
over 30 years of scientific investigation, and eight clinical trials
support the effectiveness of Proxeed®'s primary ingredients,
L-carnitine and acetyl- L-carnitine, in optimizing sperm quality.
L-carnitine and acetyl-L-carnitine have been clinically proven to:
• Increase sperm cell motility
• Increase sperm rapid linear progression
• Increase sperm count
Proxeed® is synergistic with
other methods that the couple may be using to achieve pregnancy. All
of the ingredients in Proxeed® are safe with no known side
effects or contraindications.
Proxeed® active ingredients and
their function:
L-carnitine: is a component of both seminal plasma and sperm
cells and plays an important role in sperm maturation and potential
sperm motility.
Acetyl-L-carnitine: is the
acetyl ester of L-carnitine. About 50% of total L-carnitine in
seminal plasma is in the form of acetyl-L-carnitine. It is important
in sperm membrane stabilization. Acetyl-L-carnitine also serves as a
circulating energy source for sperm and provides primary fuel for
sperm motility.
Fructose: is one of the major
energy-yielding substrates present in human seminal fluid. Sperm
utilize fructose as an energy source.
Citric acid: is a key
intermediary in the major energy producing pathways used by sperm
and other body tissues.
